Hekisuien Matcha Ukitsu (右橘) 30g

Ukitsu is a creamy, full-bodied tea, with a light caress. It has a definitely sweeter character than the Shien tea next in line, whilst its full-bodied nature yields a breezier and lighter tea. It is best brewed as a koicha, yet when prepared as an usucha, it produces an incredibly delicious and all-round comforting tea as well.
The meaning of Ukitsu (右橘) :
右 means right (in the directional sense), and 橘 is the character for a Tachibana tree (a type of mandarin orange). At the emperor's palace, there were two trees: a cherry blossom tree on the right, and a tachibana on the left. However, from the point of view of the emperor, the cherry blossom tree would be on the left and the Tachibana on the right.
