I have to order my tea from Japan because it prepared according to tradition and to a standard of excellence that simply is not a possibility here or in our culture…..yet ….There is not the understanding here. The first difference which is very clear is in the colour of the product. A bright green compared with the sludge green colour that is available here even if you spend a lot of money on the best one available. The second and very large difference is the taste. I would go so far as to say that the two products - the one available outside of Japan and the one available in Japan -are not even the same thing. I highly recommend this matcha to anyone who wishes to discover what the fuss really is about and who wants to avail of the health benefits that the studies show.
