Yomo no Kaori comes from Uji, Kyoto, and is produced by Yamamasa Koyamaen, a company founded in the first year of the Bunkyu era (1861). From tea cultivation to grinding, every step is meticulously crafted by hand. This is a Usucha(thin tea) for the tea ceremony, suitable for everyday tea gatherings, home enjoyment, and often used for entertaining guests and formal tea events.

Origin of the Name
Yomo means “east, south, west, and north”—in other words, “spreading in all directions.” Combined with Kaori(“fragrance”), the name as a whole expresses the image of “a delicate aroma wafting from all sides,” symbolizing the tea’s pervasive fragrance.

Flavor Profile
It has a long-lasting, rich aroma and a smooth, sweet, mellow taste. The flavor is full-bodied without bitterness and has a creamy, velvety texture. Compared to the slightly lower-grade Samidori from the same brand, it offers greater richness and depth.

If you are looking for a matcha that perfectly balances flavor, quality, and versatile use, Yomo no Kaori is second to none.
